This Privacy Policy explains how Kids Watch Reviews (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit https://www.kidswatchreviews.com (the “Site”). By using the Site you consent to the practices described here.

Who we are

Kids Watch Reviews is an independent product-review blog focused on smartwatches and wearables for children. To contact us, please use the Contact page.

Information we collect

Information you provide. If you leave a comment or submit our contact form, we collect the name, email address, and any text you supply. The IP address of the device used to submit may also be recorded.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URL, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting purposes. These logs are typically retained for around 30 days.

Cookies. The Site uses cookies for basic functionality — for example, remembering that you posted a comment so you don’t have to re-enter your details — and, where applicable, for affiliate-link tracking. The site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate traffic patterns; Google Analytics sets cookies that help it distinguish unique visitors and sessions. See the Google services section below for details. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them.

Affiliate disclosure

The Site participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. When you click an Amazon link from this Site and make a purchase, Amazon may set cookies that allow it to credit Kids Watch Reviews with a referral commission. These cookies are set by Amazon, not by us, and are governed by Amazon’s Privacy Notice. The price you pay is unchanged.

Third-party services we use

  • Antispam Bee — A self-hosted WordPress plugin that locally checks commenter IP addresses and content against known spam patterns. No commenter data is sent to external servers.
  • SpeedyCache — Page-caching plugin. Stores static copies of public pages for performance; does not collect personal data.
  • Hosting provider (Namecheap) — Standard server logs as described above.
  • Amazon Associates — See Affiliate disclosure above.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — Provides aggregated reports about how visitors use the Site (page views, traffic sources, broad geographic region, device type). GA4 sets cookies (typically prefixed _ga) and collects IP-derived information that Google may use to distinguish unique visitors. We do not use GA4 for advertising, remarketing, or signals that combine with Google account data. See Google’s Privacy Policy.

Google Search Console — Reports how the Site appears in Google Search results (impressions, clicks, queries). Search Console operates on Google’s side and does not place any client-side tracker on the Site itself.

Google PageSpeed Insights — Performance auditing service. Runs on demand from our admin dashboard; does not place trackers on visitor pages.

The above Google services are connected via the official Site Kit by Google plugin and are read-only.

How we use the information

We use the information we collect to:

  • display and moderate comments;
  • respond to inquiries you send through the Contact form;
  • keep the Site running, performant, and secure;
  • detect and prevent spam, abuse, and unauthorized access;
  • understand which content is useful to readers (in aggregate, when analytics is enabled).

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Children’s privacy

The Site reviews children’s products, but our intended audience is adult parents and caregivers. The Site is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us via the Contact page and we will delete it promptly.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., the EU/UK under the GDPR or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain types of processing. To exercise these rights, contact us via the Contact page.

Data retention

Approved comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so the Site can recognize and approve follow-up comments from the same author. Spam comments are automatically deleted after 30 days. Contact-form submissions are retained for as long as needed to handle your request and any reasonable follow-up, then deleted.

Security

The Site is served entirely over HTTPS and follows standard WordPress security practices. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
